While (most of) the rest of us spread 60 tonnes of sand on our show jump paddock, our very beautiful Fe became a "Mrs"!

WDA dressage 21 Sept 08
Ardis riders a bit thin on the ground today with Meals doing the 9km bridge run, Fe about to get married, Kay back at Ardis holding the fort ... Tamsin & Pops placed 2nd in 2.2 with 61.6%, 4th in 2.3 with 59.6%. Soo & PJ placed 2nd in 2.3 with 68.0%, 6th in 3.2 with 56.76% (would have been 57.35% but Soo redesigned the test !! .. ie. rode the wrong way .. it happens!! and it seemed to happen to a lot of people today). Soo & Dom opted to only ride the 3.2 and would have scored 62.06% but were eliminated after Soo, trying to do the right thing for fellow competitors, dismounted after the final halt to pick up rubbish before the next rider entered the arena. The rules state you must leave the arena mounted!

Kay, Helen, Rachel & Soo all attended the fun & informal dressage day at St Ives. Helen & Toby had a beautifully calm outing .. they're still new to the scene .. great result with 56.67% in the 1.1. Soo was rewarded with more than 60% in her 4 tests and ribbons in 3 of them. Dom managed NOT to melt down at either the school boys playing soccer on the main oval or the workmen at the playground ... a major achievement for him! Kay and Sansi enjoyed themselves as usual, achieving 56.25% in 1.1 ; 50.40% in 1.3 and Rach enjoyed another outing on her young mare, Shanti.
NRC show jumping 14 Sept 08
A cheerful Meals & Tamsin braved the rain (again!!) and represented Ardis up at St Ives. Meals rode her first 65cm round, went clear in the jump off with two lovely, very well ridden rounds and came out with the biggest smile on her face! [That's what it's all about] Tamsin took Pops & Tom around the 65cm and also looked to be enjoying herself.
Sydney International Three Day Event 11-14 Sept 08
