NRC dressage
We were lucky enough to have beautiful overhead conditions following a couple of weeks of SO much rain! The grounds weren't as bad as feared tho' there was still a bit of slip in the mud! A good day out with eight horses in all : Jess & PJ (5th 1B 58%, 2B 51%), Sophie & Nipper (prep 58%, 2A 60%), Karen & Charlie, Kate & Lena (1B 51%, 2B 54%), Tash & X (first dressage comp, 1A 52%, 1B ), Abbey & Pops (2nd 1A 66%, 6th 2A 66%), Soo & Dom (1st 5A 58%, 3rd 4B 57%), Soo & George (first dressage comp, 1st prep 68%, 1A 56%).

30/31 July 2011
SIEC weekend ODE
Jess & PJ, Katie & Tom, Tamsin & Pops (3rd Intro), Kate & Lena (10th Newcomers) and Gemma & Scandal all had fun (despite the nerves!). It was a first ODE for Jess, Katie & Gemma and they are to be congratulated for their efforts. Only 1 rail was dropped betweenall combinations in the show jumping, an awesome result. Scandal achieved 70% in her dressage, Lena went through the water on the cross country course and there were many more personal 'ticks'. Only spanner in the works was a blown truck tyre which meant the horses had an unplanned sleepover at SIEC.

27/28 July 2011
SIEC midweek ODE
Karen & Charlie and Meals & Freckles attended this midweek ODE with both combinations having heaps of fun and coming home safely (always the top priority when eventing!) Both ran at Intro, with this being the first run at this level for both horses. Well done girls.

17 July 2011
Central Coast Dressage
Soo & Dom, Kate & Lena and Tamsin & Pops headed up to Somersby for what turned out to be a very disappointing day of dressage. Despite good effort from all horses and what we firmly believed was improvement on each of their last outings, the results did not reflect our thinking. So often with dressage we walk away scratching our heads wondering whether the judges were watching the same tests we rode!

9/10 July 2011
Hidden Valley ODE
What a weekend of firsts with ALL horse/rider combinations competing in their first ODE; what a great weekend it turned out to be. Abbey & Pops finished 2nd in Jnr Newcomers. Lena & Kate finished 6th in Encouragers. Meals & Freckles and Karen & Charlie all came home safely. Sophie & Nipper did a fantastic dressage test but unfortunately were eliminated in the show jumping after too many stops. We had more ground crew than competitors - a huge thank you to everyone involved for support, great riding and lovely camaraderie. Judging by the smiles on riders faces (& people jumping up and down impatiently on the side lines) I reckon there will be a few more ODE reports this year!

NRC Show Jumping
Tom & Spunky were the sole Ardis reps at NRC with the rest of the team either competing or on the ground at Hidden Valley. They had a very successful day and reported good form following on from their excursion to Camden. For video footage click here

2/3 July 2011
Camden ESP Show Jumping
Tom & Spunky competed in the 75cm, 85cm, 90cm & 95 cm classes. Tom was delighted with Spunky's form given it was their first competition back after a spell with Spunky behaving and jumping really well. Their highlight was a double clear in the 85cm Power & Speed class. Tom said "it ended being a fantastic weekend with beautiful blue skies and a great way to celebrate one whole year with Spunky!" Well done on what was obviously a great weekend. Welcome to the team Tom.
